An important goal of the MyConnectome Project is to disseminate the data and code so that other researchers can use it to test new hypotheses and techniques. We are making the data available in a number of different ways.
Browsing the results
All of the statistical results can be viewed at http://results.myconnectome.org.
Reproducing the Analysis Workflow
We have built a system that will allow any researcher to reproduce the statistical analyses reported in Poldrack et al. (submitted) on their own computer. This is accomplished using the Vagrant virtual machine provisioning system, which will automatically create a virtual machine on any computer, download the necessary preprocessed data, run all of the analyses, and provide a browser for the data. Code and instructions are available at the Myconnectome-VM github page.
It is also possible to reproduce the analysis workflow on one’s own machine using the Myconnectome python package. However, this requires substantially more effort to install all of the necessary software dependencies, so in general we recommend the virtual machine route for most users.
Obtaining the raw data
The entire raw data set is released under the Public Domain Dedication and License v1.0 whose full text can be found at http://www.opendatacommons.org/licenses/pddl/1.0/. We also ask that researchers follow the Attribution-ShareAlike community norms. We further request that researchers who discovery any health-relevant findings will contact Dr. Poldrack prior to publicly releasing those results.

Surface fMRI data
The processed surface-based fMRI data can be accessed using the Connectome Workbench software from the Human Connectome Project.
To view the data using the Connectome Workbench:
- Download the software from the link above and install.
- Launch the software, and click “skip” if it asks you whether you want to open a file.
- Select File->Open Location. Click “Custom” and choose “Specification” from the Type menu.
- In the URL window, enter the following URL and then click “OK”: https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/myconnectome/data/workbench/myconnectome_web.32k_fs_LR.wb.spec
- When the “Open Spec File” window appears, click Load at the bottom. You may get asked for a password – just click OK since these files don’t require a password.
- The data are now loaded into the viewer. To view stored scenes from several of the figures, click on the scene button at the top right of the viewer and then choose the scene you want to view.
The network visualizations presented in the paper were generated using the Cytoscape software. You can visualize them directly by downloading the following files and opening them in Cytoscape:
